When I add custom data, the order of the data input is not always the same … sometimes information is found later and added accordingly … will custom data be output in a predetermined order?

I am getting some error 500 messages today, thus stopping the upload of images … ?

Uploading issue resolved. I have 60 days to strain the UA bandwidth at will. More later perhaps, if needed. DB

Note to Streetprinters:

If you upload images to your site at the university you should be aware that there is a 1GB limit, incoming and outgoing together, for each user per day. Last Friday I uploaded about 9GB, which led to a warning from the university threatening to take away my account. If you exceed your limit they think you are using bit torrent, p2p etc, for what, I have no idea… I have written to correct this assumption and gain at least temporary access for higher traffic limits. I will keep you informed. If anyone else is planning to upload at the university you can send me your email and I will inform the university of the situation for the project as a whole and the email addresses involved, which should give us more room to move. If you are uploading elsewhere, no worries. DB

500 errors.

If you have been getting 500 errors let me know if this is still an issue. I updated the server after I tossed the U of M Archeology project up (8000+ artifacts) and I think this should be resolved.

and same problem with adding category so unless it is just me there must be something with the server … ?

add custom data

Problem adding custom data - frequent ‘error 500’ messages when adding data, particularly when more than one data item at a time is added. When this error occurs the changes made to the artifact are lost. DB

author/contributor list

Kirsten is right - the tumblr response box is twitterishly small.

Adding author while entering an artifact is not essential, but would be convenient as it saves time. It would be best, perhaps, if typing in an author while adding an artifact automatically added that author to an author list, which would enable both a drop down menu and auto fill options for further artifact entries …

… please keep in mind that my suggestions and comments are completely removed from any idea of the amount of work any of this requires or, as Kirsten mentioned, the larger schemes/priorities, for the website.
